Little Nightmares 3 – The Backstage – the DLC expansion revealed during last week's Summer Game Fest events – is now on sale.
The first extra content for Supermassive Games' take on Tarsier Studios' deeply unsettling universe, The Backstage launches today on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and previous-generation consoles.
Players will witness Low encounter Dime, a new child equipped with a torch hat, "a very useful tool for navigating what lies beyond the curtains of The Carnevale". The two youngsters must "confront fresh dangers and employ their light to rescue Alone from the clutches of a new Resident: The Puppeteer". This all feels very fitting for such a delightfully grim game.
Little Nightmares 3 – The Backstage is accessible to those who own the Secrets of the Spiral Expansion Pass, or it can be bought individually for £6.49 on console, or £6.99 on Steam.
Matt awarded Eurogamer's Little Nightmares 3 review a modest three out of five stars, noting: "Supermassive's choice to stick with a safe approach results in too many familiar annoyances, but stunning artistry – and a mid-game improvement – creates a darkly engaging adventure nonetheless."
In case you missed it, Little Nightmares 2's Enhanced Edition is finally available on Nintendo Switch 2. Tarsier Studios' creepy platform horror Little Nightmares 2 released the Enhanced Edition for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC back in 2021, but this marks the first time the second game can be played on Nintendo's second Switch console.
Although the upgraded version had been offered for free to owners of the original, non-enhanced editions on earlier platforms, Little Nightmares 2: Enhanced Edition is the sole version available for Nintendo Switch 2, which is why it costs £24.99.
