Dragon's Dogma 2
Scorched earth.
Capcom will cease sales of the deluxe edition of Dragon's Dogma 2 on 24th June, and will also remove many of its more contentious time-saving microtransactions from sale.
In a message shared on the game's social media channels, the developer expressed gratitude to players for their ongoing support, noting that "due to the development of additional content and various adjustments for the upcoming title update", several in-game items – many of which allowed players to accelerate the game's progression mechanics – will be phased out.
Starting 25th June, the following items will no longer be available for purchase on any platform (though if you already own them, they can "still be used"):
Dragon's Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition
A Boon for Adventurers - New Journey Pack
Harpysnare Smoke Beacons - Harpy Lure Item
Heartfelt Pendant - A Thoughtful Gift
Ambivalent Rift Incense - Change Pawn Inclinations
Makeshift Gaol Key - Escape from Gaol

Portcrystal - Warp Location Marker
Wakestone - Restore the Dead to Life
500 Rift Crystals - Points to Spend Beyond the Rift
1500 Rift Crystals - Points to Spend Beyond the Rift

Dragon's Dogma 2, Explorer's Camping Kit, and Dragon's Dogma Music and Sound Collection will continue to be available.
"Thank you for your support!" the team concluded. "We hope you bring the same passion and love to Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, as you did to Dragon's Dogma 2."
The announcement of a Dragon's Dogma 2 port for Nintendo Switch 2 stood out as one of the biggest surprises in last week's Nintendo Direct. Furthermore, it is the Dark Arisen version that features the new expansion also coming to other editions of the game. Capcom is seizing this chance to undertake significant improvements to the fantasy role-playing title.
After over a year without any updates addressing the game's various performance problems or enhancing other aspects like the absence of enemy scaling in New Game Plus, Capcom unveiled a two-part roadmap aimed at refining the game ahead of Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen's launch on 9th October.
